The ongoing hospitalizations and illnesses were numerous and scary. From birth, my older son (now 25) suffered from many medical problems severe multiple food allergies, asthma, eczema and autoimmune issues. I opened my own Orthodontic practice and practiced for 27 years.Īfter my own personal wellness journey with autoimmune disease and with my son, where conventional medicine wasn’t giving us all of the answers, I discovered functional medicine. I then pursued a 3 year residency in Orthodontics at The University of Florida College of Dentistry where I received my certificate in Orthodontics and a Masters of Science Degree in Oral Biology. ![]() I majored in microbiology in college and went on to earn my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (DDS) from The University of Maryland School of Dentistry. As a Certified Functional Medicine Health Coach, a Certified Breathwork Coach and a Certified HeartMath Practitioner for Stress, Anxiety and Self-regulation, I bring health coaching to a new level. When I found Functional Medicine and began to apply the principles to my life and my family's life, the healing journey began. I didn't realize that I was living in my "fight or flight" (stress) nervous system for so long and how prolonged, low level stress propagates unhealth.
